I believe in knowing the history of what I do. Being a social dancer, I have dug into the history of social dancing across time. In particular I am interested tracking the developments of dances in context, how they evolved with and in response to surrounding society. I have given talks on social dance history for swing dancers locally in DC and, since COVID, online.
